Restock the Resource Rooms Fundraiser
Community Schools in Rochester provide numerous services to students and families. We are seeking support to restock our “resource rooms,” places where students can reliably find food, hygiene items, clothing, and other resources to fulfill essential needs.
How to Donate Online
Visit our fundraiser on 4giving.com. Monetary donations allow school staff to purchase items that are most needed in bulk.
How to Donate Physical Items
Step 1) Obtain one or more of the items on the list below. These are the items currently most needed by our community schools. We ask that community members refrain from donating other items without first consulting with school staff.
Full-size shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and body wash
Laundry detergent and dish soap
Canned goods (beans, vegetables, fruit, meats)
Pasta, pasta sauce, and microwavable boxed meals
Step 2) Deliver the items to one of our schools. Please press the buzzer outside the main door and check in with school staff.

What is a Community School?
A community school is both a place and set of collective partnerships between Rochester Public Schools, United Way of Olmsted County, the individual school site, and other community resources. Its integrated focus on academics, health, social services, youth and community development, and community engagement leads to improved student learning, stronger families, and healthier communities. A full-service community school has components engaging instructions, expanded learning opportunities; college, career, and citizenship; health and social support; community engagement; early childhood development; family engagement; and youth development.
