Welcome to Rochester Public Schools Header Graphic

Whether you're new to Rochester, have lived here for years and have a student who's about to start at an RPS neighborhood school, or joining MNSync Online from elsewhere in Minnesota, welcome! We're so glad to have you join the RPS community.

On this page, you will find a lot of the information you need to know before enrolling your student(s) in an RPS school. We encourage you to take a look through the rest of our website and reach out to 507.328.3000 with any questions.

Neighborhood Schools

Wondering where your child will go to school? Find your neighborhood school. Check out the schools below for more information about each school.

Students are automatically assigned to their neighborhood school when enrolling at Rochester Public Schools. Each school has its own unique environment and community. When students attend a school near their home, families can more easily connect with teachers and contribute as school volunteers and leaders.

Districtwide Option Schools

Families have the opportunity to apply for Districtwide Options (DWO) schools and programs. These schools/programs are located within Rochester and may deliver the curriculum in a different manner than neighborhood schools. DWO schools and programs are available tuition-free to students.

MNSync Online

MNSync Online offers a K-12, synchronous-first, online learning environment for students across the state of Minnesota. Students engage in learning aligned to the Minnesota State Academic Standards taught by Rochester Public School teachers.

Instruction is provided primarily in a live, synchronous model with some offline and/or asynchronous work included. Our courses are designed based on best practice instructional design merged with learning and teaching research.
