We welcomed our youngest students back to the classroom for the First Day of RPS Preschool at Mighty Oaks Early Learning School, Hoover Early Learning School, and the Northrop Community Education Building! We are so excited to have you with us this year as a part of RPS!

Rochester Public Schools District offices and schools will be closed on Monday, September 4 in observance of Labor Day. Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday, September 5.
September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. All month long, mental health workers and advocates, prevention organizations, survivors, allies, and community members unite to promote suicide prevention awareness, a topic often hard to discuss. Many people suffer from depression or suicidal thoughts, but it is not always seen. Suicidal thoughts can haunt anyone of any age, gender, or social status. Take time to love and care for those around you, and if you or someone you know is in an emergency, call the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

National Recovery Month is a national observance held every September to celebrate the gains made by those in recovery from substance use and mental health. The month serves as a celebration of the steps taken to improve access, information, and treatment and the dedication of service providers and communities who make recovery in all its forms possible.

Today was the start of back-to-school week for RPS! Middle schools welcomed in 6th grade students for Meet Me in the Middle, and our high schools also welcomed the incoming 9th grade students, Class of 2027! We're so glad to see our students back in action and can't wait to see what's in store for the 2023-2024 school year!

This is a fast, easy, and convenient way to keep our children, schools, and community healthy throughout the year. You do not need to be a Mayo Clinic patient to receive the vaccinations. Call 507-538-8555 for an appointment. If you are unsure what vaccinations are due, please check your Mayo Clinic patient portal, contact your primary care provider, or check with your school. Primary Care Vaccine Clinic 41st Street Center Professional Building 3033 41st Street NW, Rochester Tuesday, August 22 - 3-7 p.m. Insurance will be billed. If you do not have insurance, you may qualify for the Minnesota Vaccines for Children program, which covers the cost of vaccines at low or no cost.
