Step Into Learning is an altered start to the traditional start of the school year. Bamber Valley will use the first two days of school, August 25 and 26, as student conference days.

Parents and guardians will make an individual 30-minute appointment in August (be watching for communication from your individual school soon). During this appointment, parents and guardians will have the opportunity to meet their child’s teacher(s), have their child assessed, visit with the school nurse, set up their lunch accounts, explore the school’s PTSA and more. Schools participating in Step Into Learning will not have SACC available on August 25 and 26. The first full day of school for students grades K-5 will be August 27.

Wear your best smile because School Pictures will also be taken at Step into Learning!

DID YOU KNOW???? Research shows that children who don’t read over the summer can lose up to two months of reading achievement. This is known as the “summer slide,” and it can accumulate year after year, putting students significantly behind by the time they reach middle school. On the other hand, students who read just 20 minutes a day over the summer are more likely to maintain—or even grow—their reading skills. In fact, consistent summer reading is linked to higher reading achievement, stronger vocabulary, and greater academic confidence. Our local library offers a summer reading program to help stop the summer slide- check it out! https://www.rplmn.org/services/more-services/summer-playlist

Hi Beavers!! Unfortunately Mr Neurer had to do something he really didn't want to do...postpone the field day. So, instead of tomorrow, the all school field day will be held this Friday, 05/23. If you are able to volunteer, please come to the school gym by 7:30 on Friday where Mr Neurer will assign you a job. Thanks for supporting our students and making this a day they will always remember.

Awesome job to our 4th and 5th grade Math Master's Teams! They recently competed in the Math Master's competition where we had some students place individually in the competition. Thank you to our PTA for funding this opportunity. We are so proud of all of you for representing Bamber Valley. Go Beavers!
