After 32 years at RPS, three of those as the principal at Sunset Terrace Elementary School, your current principal, Brenda Wichmann, will retire at the end of this school year. We wish Principal Wichmann all the best in her retirement!
With her retirement, Chad Schroeder, the current principal at Washington Elementary School, will transfer to serve as the principal at Sunset Terrace. Chad brings 11 years of principal experience from his time at Washington, three years as Gibbs principal, and five years as Riverside Central assistant principal. I am confident that in partnership with Assistant Principal Heidi Lee, Chad will continue to carry on the great work that has been happening at Sunset under Principal Wichmann's leadership!
Chad will start his new position at Sunset Terrace on July 1 and offer some opportunities for a meet and greet with him before the start of the next school year.
