In our efforts to bridge the communication gap and further engage families in their student's education, RPS partners with TalkingPoints to introduce two-way communication into our school communities. Currently, our families are utilizing TalkingPoints in over 40 languages, helping families remove language barriers.
This school year, our staff and families have exchanged over two million messages through TalkingPoints. We hope to continue the conversation with you!

A proud procession of flags at today's Culture Fest Performance. At JM we have over 30 home languages spoken, and even more countries represented ❤️

Wishing a happy Rama Navami to those who celebrate.

April is National Bilingual/Multilingual Learner Advocacy Month and a time to celebrate the linguistic diversity that bilingual and multilingual students and families bring to our school community. As a school district, we support our multilingual families with the help of multilingual and bilingual specialists who help break language barriers and strengthen communication between our staff, students, and school communities.
Meet our school's bilingual specialists in the photos on this post! Our bilingual families are invited to connect with our bilingual specialists for support with translations, interpretations, and connections with school and District administration to help enrich their students' education.

Calling all rummage sale lovers....one thing we could use for the Rocket Community Room are gently used backpacks for the Fall. For high school students, think strong & fairly big. We can take them this spring or in late August. Thank you and happy hunting!

Environmental Awareness students testing their skills at a tandem bike. They agreed it requires a decent amount of coordination & and heavy amount of trust.

You see them opening milk cartons in the lunchrooms, reading with students in the libraries, helping out on playgrounds, chaperoning field trips, and helping office staff stuff envelopes -- public school volunteers are a force, and we are happy to celebrate them this week!

Dine in or carry out at Victoria’s to support the Senior Party (all day). Mention: JM Senior Party!

We had a fantastic turnout for our Community Mural Paint Party today. So much fun seeing students, caregivers, alumni, staff, neighbors, & community members all interacting with one another in such a joyous way.
