Join Rochester Public Schools at our Deaf and Hard of Hearing Community Mixer for an evening of community, conversation, and connection as we prepare to launch American Sign Language (ASL) at our high schools in the 2026-2027 school year.
Come meet ASL teachers and district staff, learn more about our ASL program, and share ideas, perspectives, and community voice. This event is open-house style, and light refreshments will be provided.

Rocket Families,
We have come to the end of another incredible school year! What a year it has been at JMHS.
Our Student Leadership Team recently created our vision for next year: “Own Your Impact.” I absolutely love this thinking because it reflects exactly what our students and staff have done throughout this year.
We have seen record attendance from our freshman students and tremendous success through our Freshman on Track efforts. More students than ever are earning 6 or more credits, maintaining C’s or better, and achieving 90% attendance or higher. That is a huge impact on their future — and they should absolutely OWN IT!
Our seniors are pushing hard to the finish line, and we cannot wait to celebrate them at graduation on June 6 at 9:00 a.m. at the Civic Center. We are so proud of all they have accomplished.
For our students returning next year, thank you for the hard work you’ve put in preparing for the 2026–27 school year. Returning students may keep their Chromebooks and chargers over the summer, so please help ensure they are kept safe and ready for next fall. Seniors should return their Chromebooks and chargers to the main office.
As summer begins, I hope everyone takes time to rest and recharge. Read as many books as you can. Spend time outside. Enjoy family dinners. Maybe even paddle a canoe! Most importantly, celebrate this year and enjoy some quiet moments.
Thank you to our amazing students — truly the best in town. Thank you to our incredible families and caregivers. And thank you to our outstanding JM staff. This is a special place.

The JM School Forest is alive & well... and always getting improved by our JM Environmental Club & AP Bio. 🌳 ❤️ 🌍

Yesterday, JM had their end of year auto show. The kids in the class enjoyed showing off their cars, making lots of noise with their vehicles 😅, and enjoying a final barbecue together.

FREE vision clinic on May 30th that is hosted by Zumbro Valley Medical Society. This is a great resource for anyone who is need of an exam and/or glasses. It is open to all ages and those with and without insurance coverage.

And that's a wrap for our graduating seniors. Gooooo Rockets 🚀

A big happy birthday shout out to Mary! 🎈 🎂 ❤️

Happy happy birthday #15 to Ari!! 🥰

A few pics from the JM/CTECH Field Trip to the Como Zoo & Conservatory yesterday. Students got to experience a behind-the-scene tour!

As seniors gear up for graduation, they take part in a longstanding RPS tradition, walking through the halls that made them who they are today. This tradition of a senior walk allows students to close a chapter of their lives while also thanking teachers and staff who helped them along the way. It also inspires our other students to see what they are working towards throughout their education and helps them learn to celebrate and uplift others.
Congratulations, Seniors! We can't wait to watch you walk across the stage!
