At Dakota Middle School, our students do more than just eat—they innovate. Once a month, our student focus group teams up with Chef Travis to taste-test the future school lunch options. Today’s menu? A Mac & Cheese Bar showdown: Buffalo vs. BBQ Chicken. The students have the opportunity to provide feedback and even discuss toppings and side pairings for menu items. We believe that giving students a seat at the table builds belonging, connection, and a menu they actually love.
