About P-TECH 535

P-TECH is located in the Rochester Community Technical College (RCTC) main campus building (851 30th Ave SE, Rochester, MN 55904). 

Students are able to access transportation by utilizing district transportation to their affiliated RPS high school and then take the CTECH/P-TECH bus over to the RCTC main building.

Yes, although students may not be able to attend meetings that occur during the school day.

"Cost-free" covers the following items: 

• Transportation to and from student's high school to P-TECH
• Required school supplies
• Pathway postsecondary tuition and associated fees 
• Transportation to and from P-TECH and paid internship locations

The only entry point for P-TECH is 8th grade in order to meet pathway requirements.

If P-TECH doesn't work out for a student, students are able to return to their associated RPS high school at any time. 

If a space becomes available in either pathway before the beginning of the school year, administration will draw from a waiting list. 

It is not possible to complete both nursing and information technology pathways in the allotted timeline for students. Students may however be able to switch pathways early on in the program.

Technically, students will not be able to complete high school and receive their diploma before completing the college requirements. Students will be able to participate in graduation ceremonies where they will receive a certificate of completion. Once students complete their college coursework, they will receive their high school diploma and college degree simultaneously.
