Meet the Teacher and Schedule Pick-up
We want to make sure the transition back into the school year is seamless. Come to Meet the Teacher night or your student's schedule pick-up to help ease them back into the classroom.
Step into Learning
Step Into Learning is an altered start to the traditional start of the school year. Some of our elementary schools, Bishop, Folwell, Franklin, Montessori at Franklin, Gibbs, Sunset Terrace, and Washington, will use the first two days of school, September 3rd and 4th, as student conference days. Parents and guardians will make an individual 30-minute appointment in August (be watching for communication from your individual school soon). During this appointment, parents and guardians will have the opportunity to meet their child’s teacher(s), have their child assessed, visit with the school nurse, set up their lunch accounts, explore the school’s PTSA and more. Schools participating in Step Into Learning will not have SACC available on September 3rd and 4th. The first full day of school for students grades K-5 will be September 5th.
If you're ready to start filling backpacks and school bags, you'll find school supply lists by using the Teacher List website below.
Bus route information will be mailed out to families mid-August.
For general information, please contact transportation services at (507) 328-4260 or visit their web page.
Watch for the free- and reduced-priced meal application that will be mailed home at the end of July.
Breakfast and lunch menus will be posted on their web page in late August.
School Age Child Care provides high quality services for students in preschool through fifth grade. Our program provides child care for before- and after-school, and on most non-school days.
