Coming Soon - Fall 2021

P-TECH 535 is a pioneering education reform initiative created to prepare young people with the academic, technical, and professional skills required for high wage, high skills, and high need regional careers. This public-private partnership allows students to take high school and college coursework simultaneously while engaging in industry-guided workforce development in one of two pathways.

Rochester Public Schools has partnered with IBM, Mayo Clinic and RCTC to offer pathways in nursing and Information Technology (IT).  Students have the opportunity to earn both their high school diploma and a diploma in practical nursing or an Associate of Applied Science in Information Technology within four years (or up to six years) in the program model.  Students will receive workplace experiences through job shadows, mentors, and a paid internship.

P-TECH will welcome its first two cohorts of approximately 30 students in each pathway in Fall 2021.
